Brand new winter pattern
- Directional tread pattern design with main lateral grooves stretched on a curve from center to shoulder can improve lateral drainage and snow grip.
- Varied shaped blocks formed by irregularly locating different shape of lateral grooves on tread center, and broad sipes on center rib for increasing biting edges can together help to expel ice and snow like the function of snow rake.
- Broadening circumferential groove can improve longitudinal drainage efficiency and drainage performance on wet roads substantially.
- The recess design on circumferential groove wall can increase water film breaking ability, and also be helpful to snow expelling efficiency and snow performance improvement.(refer to the sketch below)
- Lateral grooves located on tread shoulder blocks can increase snow biting edges to upgrade snow performance. Thin and shallow grooves on tread shoulder can also beautify tread pattern.
- Varied shape blocks and ladder-shape pattern on tread edge areas can broaden contact area with ice/snow to strengthen snow shoveling capability and reinforce snow traction. (refer to the graph below)
- Increasing main lateral groove and sipe quantity can enhance snow performance. For maximizing snow grip, 3D sipe design is adopted with different depth(7 mm for center area/ 6mm for shoulder area) depending on different block location.
- Profile design for maximizing tire's footprint(tread contact width) can improve rolling resistance and snow performance under keeping dry/wet performance.
